Addressing Social Injustice and Discrimination – Own a Cow

The symptom of the politically driven divides on the continent of Africa, has taken many forms from racism, genocide, dictatorships, mineral grabs and now land grabs. Despite of all this, we find that traditionally rural communities have a committed desire for self-preservation, grabbing onto every hint of hope that is offered to them.

As much as governments tried to turn this grouse abuse, and neglect of rural communities around, it is no secret that private initiatives are really the only ones able to have made a significant difference.

OACIA in partnerships with tribal leaders are initiating social development programmes at rural community level using the local human and land resource. These programmes are backed by the skills and experience of a network of commercial farmers from the FarmForAfrica group.

Cattle will once again return to Africa as the true sign of wealth and social-economic development.
